According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam, as many as 40.7 million passengers, including 1.8 million foreigners, arrived at airports across the country, up 56.8 percent and 904.6 percent, respectively.

Vietnamese airlines transported 20.1 million passengers, including 667,000 foreigners, up 56.1 percent.

This year, airports are expected to welcome 87.8 million passengers, up 190 per cent from 2021. International tourist arrivals by air are projected to reach five million, up 844 per cent. And domestic arrivals will reach 82.8 million, up 178.4 per cent.

Vietnamese airlines expect to carry 43.3 million passengers in 2022, up 185 percent.
