
This means that investors shall be permitted to self-inspect and approve fire safety compliance before putting construction projects and transport vehicles into operation, rather than waiting for police inspections as previously required.
The move is part of the Government's efforts to further streamline administrative procedures and business conditions in the field of fire prevention, fighting, and rescue.
Police authorities have ceased accepting applications for this procedures starting June 20. Applications received before this date will continue to be processed with results returned by June 30.
With the abolition of this procedure, police authorities shall only handle the following procedures in the field of fire prevention, fighting, and rescue:
(i) Fire safety design appraisal;
(ii) Fire safety design approval for cases involving design adjustments during the construction of projects that have already been granted an approval certificate;
(iii) Issuance of traffic/circulation permits./.
