The Vietnamese leader has been honored with this prestigious international public award for his significant personal contribution to strengthening peace and cooperation among nations, according to the jury of the L.N. Tolstoy International Peace Prize.

Under the leadership of General Secretary and President To Lam, Viet Nam has become one of the fastest-growing economies of the Asia-Pacific region while preserving its civilizational identity within the mosaic of a multipolar world. 

The members of the jury of the L.N. Tolstoy International Peace Prize particularly noted the Vietnamese leader's contribution to shaping a new regional architecture of equal and indivisible security on a non-discriminatory basis, as well as his commitment to the ideas of a just world order grounded in international law.
